Families choose this service when they want a private, peaceful and memorable farewell in a beautiful setting at sea. Serenity supports the family throughout and helps shape a ceremony that feels personal, respectful and calm.
The planned ceremony point is around 3 nautical miles from the Port of Benalmádena. The location and sailing are confirmed for each booking, subject to the relevant permissions, weather, sea conditions and the skipper’s safety assessment.

The family is welcomed aboard the catamaran with a glass of cava for adults and orange juice for minors.
The sea ceremony
The catamaran travels to the location confirmed for the ceremony. The route and scattering remain subject to the relevant permissions and the skipper’s safety assessment.
Memories to keep
Afterwards the family receives the memorial video, edited photographs and the service certificate with the exact coordinates.

The catamaran departs from the Port of Benalmádena, subject to confirmation at the time of booking.

On many occasions dolphins are spotted during the trip, although nature can never be guaranteed.
Does the family need to obtain a special urn?
No. Serenity includes a suitable biodegradable urn as part of the service.
Do we receive photographs, video and the coordinates afterwards?
Yes. The family receives edited high-resolution photographs, a memorial video and a service certificate showing the coordinates, date and name.
What happens if the sea conditions are unsuitable?
Safety comes first. When conditions prevent safe sailing, we discuss rescheduling with the family. Please tell us about fixed travel dates before booking; any change or cancellation is handled under the agreed booking terms.
How many people can attend?
Tell us the total number of guests, including children, when enquiring. We confirm the permitted guest number and availability for the boat before accepting the booking. Do not add guests without checking with Serenity.
Is the boat suitable for a guest with limited mobility?
Please explain any wheelchair use, difficulty with steps or assistance needs before booking. Boarding conditions can vary, so we check suitability with the boat operator rather than promise step-free access.
Can we personalise the farewell or request extras?
Tell us about any music, readings, flowers or refreshment requests. We confirm what is possible, what is already included and any additional charge in writing before you decide. An enquiry does not reserve a date.
